Jack’s Oyster House is back! Now under a new, well-financed and highly motivated
management, Jack’s is returning better than ever. Renovations are well under way and a
professional staff has been put in place, including Chaine member Josh Turo, formerly of
Yono’s, and Patrick Toomey, formerly of the Adelphi and more recently, the Regent. If all goes
as planned, the reception will be held in the vault room of the former KeyBank at 60 State with
the dinner to follow in Jack’s dining room at 44 State. You won’t want to miss this dinner at this
iconic and revered venue.

We will be traveling to the outskirts of Little Falls for our third dinner at the Beardslee Castle
(yes, it is a castle) where talented chef, owner and Maitre Rotisseur Randall Brown rules the
roost. If our prior dinners there are any indication, this should be another spectacular event.
Since this dinner will take place during the height of the growing season, we will be treated to
fruits, vegetables and herbs from the castle’s on premises gardens. Chef Brown’s menus are
consistently creative and exciting and I cannot wait to see what he has in store for us this time.
Due to the distance, bus transportation will be available.

Yet another road trip as we venture to the shores of the “Queen of Lakes” for our dinner at the
Lake George Club. Longtime members may recall our last dinner there on October 22, 2017,
which was a smashing success. The kitchen is now in the capable hands of Executive Chef
Desmond “Dez” Smith, whose efforts have received high praise from a good friend of mine who
is a club member.
